Our History
Cà della Scimmia is a historic building, a place of hospitality since its origins: in 1382 it already was an inn, owned by the nuns of San Lorenzo.
It represents the latest addition to The Welcomist. A family business with a long hotel tradition, specializing in the management and enhancement of realities with a strong historical and artistic identity.

Rialto is the oldest part of Venice and the Rialto Bridge the first ever.
We are where it all began and in the city's most lively area to this day, markets of all kinds:
fruit, vegetables, meat, fish, spices, silks, jewellery and precious... and once in the past certainly monkeys too!
